Thank you for supporting my journey to run the New York Marathon and raise funds for Shoe4Africa in November 2017. This is my first marathon and certainly one of the most challenging physical goals I’ve set for myself.
I’ve partnered with Shoe4Africa for many reasons. They are doing so much good helping children in Africa! Their mission is “Saving and Empowering African Kids’ Lives” and their vision is “That no child is denied basic healthcare or quality education. That the sick be tended to and the uneducated be taught. That there will be a world united that is inspired to wipe out poverty.” As you can see, this is an incredibly worthwhile cause and your donation will make a big impact.
As a mother myself, my heart aches for children around the world who don’t have the same opportunities and resources that our children have. With donations raised by my teammates and me, we’ll be able to fund the building of a new school in Africa!

I read “There is no place in the world with a greater need for the basic necessities of life than in the region of East Africa; the cradle of mankind.” Your donation of any amount will make a difference in a part of the world that so desperately needs it.
Wonder why the name Shoe4Africa? Because it is one BIG step forward!
